Posted by مجد برهوش on May 8, 2007 #15576 شيدت هذه المستوطنة عام 1984 على أراضي صادرتها قوات الاحتلال من اراضي كفر أللبد، وشوفة، وذنابة، تقدر مساحتها بحوالي 704 دونم، تطورت هذه المستوطنة على عدة مراحل فقد بدأت بـ12 بيتا متنقلا ثم ازداد عدد البيوت إلى حوالي 70 بيتا أضيف إليها أكثر من 20 مسكنا رائعا من الحجر الجيد ، وقد توالت عمليات توسيع المستوطنة، ففي عام 2000 شهدت المستوطنة وما حولها نشاطات استيطانية توسعية مكثفة، إذ كانت تلك النشاطات تتم من قبل المستوطنين والجيش بشكل دائم رغم قلة عدد المستوطنين المقيمين فيها، وقد يعزي ذلك لموقعها الأمني المشرف على مدينة طولكرم، فخلال انتفاضة الأقصى استخدمت المستوطنة وغيرها من المستوطنات كقواعد انطلاق عسكرية للدبابات والمجنزرات باتجاه مناطق الاشتباكات في المدن والبلدان الفلسطينية، فكانت أذرع ضاربة وقاطعة للطرق بين مدن ومحافظات الوطن. تجدر الإشارة أنه عند انسحاب جيش الاحتلال من مدينة طولكرم أوائل عام 1995 انتقل بآلياته وعتاده إلى هذه المستوطنة.........................................مركز المعلومات الوطني الفلسطيني
