Schools Umm al-Zinat had an elementary school for boys which was founded by the Ottomans in 1888.
Archeological sites Umm al-Zinat contained the foundations of buildings, rock-cut tombs, and, in the eastern part of the village, a stone sarcophagus. Also Khirbat al-Harami contained some ruins.

According to the Palestinian historian Walid Khalidi, the village remaining structures on the village land are:
"The houses have been reduced to rubble, piles of which are scattered over the site. The village's cemetery is still visible."
