dear sir, we noticed that Al Jish village is not included in the site.
it is a small village at the west-north of Safad city 13 Km far. 71 donom land. near to Al Jish ..AlRehaneyya, Alma, Fara, Ghabbatiyya, Salha, Mirun, Sa's'a, Tietaba, Dallata, Al SafSaf. there are many Roman and Byzanties palaces & churches.there are so many nut, almond, fug, apple, olive... trees. people here are muslim & christian
Famelies: (according to "Jeslala hestory" 1st edition 2001,by Khalil Khalayleh palestinian poem)
1-Al AlKalily(M), 2-Al Jubran(C), 3-Al 'Akel(C), 4-Al Zidan(M),5-Al 'Azzam(M), 6-Al Sa'ad(M), 7-Al Dhaher(C), 8-Al Ayyoub(M), 9-Al Abu Ze inab(M), 10-Al Essa Kalthoum(M), 11- Al Bleibel(M)(Ahmed Al Khatib Bleibel- Emam of Al Jish Mousque), 12-Al Nejem(C), 13-Al'Aboud(C), 14-Al Habib( ), 15-Al Ayyoub Bakhit(c), 16-Al Al 'Ali(M),17-Al Elyas(C).
Night of 28-29 October the village felt was felt after a big struggle
(jihad). Among them were killed:
1-Yossuf Mohammed Qasem Al Khalily. 2-Ahmed hammoud Zidan. 3-Rafa'eyya Mahmoud Hussien Al Ali. 4-Fatom Sa'id Zidan. 5-Sharifah Hamoud Zidan. 6-Najiyya Ahmed Al Khatib. 7-Nazha Al Khatib. 8-Mohammed Abdulla Azam. 9-Hindeyya abdulla Hleihel with son Atta Khalid
10-Sendawee Family: Redwan, Shareefa, hammoud, Khadra', Marwan, Mahmoud, Maryam. 11-Reda Ayuob Hawwa & wife. 12-Fares & Elyas Andraus Hadadad. 13-Yossuf Hanna Sader. 14-Rafoul &Yossuf Hashol.
30th October 1948 Al Jish poeple left to Lebanon : Saida, Beirut, Trebolle(Trablos) and Syria: Homs, Hama, Allepo. Some families still in Al Jish till now. now Al Jish poeple living in Lebanon & Sirya camps, USA, Norway, Sweden, Germany, England, Danmark, Russia, Rominia and Arab Gulf. There was a primary school with about 500 student and 8 teachers including the head master Ghattas Yossuf Ghattas. Some private schools nad Katatib were established.In the town were 6 libraries and a small clinic established in 1945.the main mousqe of Al Jish Still up to day and 2 churchs 1 of the for Rome Catholic Cresstians
