Wadi al-Hawarith was mostly destroyed with the exception of four houses which has survived destruction. Currently, one of these houses is being occupied by a Palestinian-Israeli family, and the others are occupied by Israeli Jewish settlers.

Inhabitants place of origin The tribe of Bani al-Haritha (originally from the Qahtani Tribe from Yemen) who settled in Wadi al-Hawarith in the late 16th century.
Exculsive jewish colonies on town's lands Kefar ha-Ro'e, Kefar Witkin, and Ge'uley Teyman.

According to the Palestinian historian Walid Khalidi, the village remaining structures on the village land are:
One family (that of Abu 'Isa al-Hajibi) remained in Wadi al-Hawarith North after 1948; its members now have ten houses there. On the southern edge of these houses is the settlement of Ge'uley Teyman. On the site of Wadi al-Hawarith South, four village houses have survived; one of them is occupied by an Israeli family
